20 On November 29, 2022, Plaintiff Patricia Arredondo-Chavez (“Plaintiff”) filed the operative Complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus, against Defendant The International City Management Association Retirement Corporation, doing business as MissionSquare Retirement (“Defendant”). Ex. 1, Not. Removal, ECF No. 1-1 (“Compl.”). Defendant removed the action to federal court on January 10, 2023, pursuant to diversity jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. § 1332. ECF No. 1.
