17 This matter is before the court on plaintiff’s motion to remand this action to the Sutter County Superior Court. (Doc. No. 21.) On April 21, 2023, the motion was taken under submission on the papers pursuant to Local Rule 230(g). For the reasons explained below, the court will deny plaintiff’s motion to remand. BACKGROUND On November 8, 2022, plaintiff filed a class action lawsuit against defendant Lamon Construction Company, Inc. (“defendant”) and unnamed defendants Does 1–100 in the Sutter County Superior Court. (Doc. No. 1-4 at 5.)
