15 Defendants. 16 17 Plaintiff Robert Hackworth is a state prisoner proceeding pro se and in forma pauperis in 18 this civil rights action filed under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. T his action proceeds on First and Eighth 19 Amendment claims alleged in Plaintiff’s second amended complaint against Defendant Arevalos. 20 (See Docs. 20, 89.) 21 Pending before the Court is Plaintiff’s motion to transfer venue, filed September 11, 22 2023. (Doc. 105.) Defendant timely opposed (Doc. 108) and Plaintiff did not file an optional 23 reply. 24 BACKGROUND 25 Plaintiff’s claims arose during his incarceration at California Substance Abuse Treatment 26 Facility (“SATF”) in Corcoran, California.
