19 On December 27, 2023, plaintiff Strike 3 Holdings, LLC filed this copyright 20 infringement action against defendant John Doe subscriber, assigned IP address 73.66.196.181. 21 (ECF No. 1.) On January 20, 2024, the undersigned granted plaintiff’s ex parte application for 22 leave to serve a third-party subpoena. (ECF No. 4.) Pursuant to the court’s order, plaintiff was 23 permitted to serve a subpoena on the ISP provider to establish identity of the owner of the IP 24 address. (Id. at 4.) Plaintiff was instructed that no formal service of process or revelation of the 25 identity of the defendant shall be permitted absent further order of this court.
