17 I. INTRODUCTION 18 Plaintiff Deyse Martinez de Maldonado (“Plaintiff”) brought the instant action against 19 Defendant I.C. System, Inc. (“Defendant”), alleging claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices 20 Act (“FDCPA”), 15 U.S.C. § 1692 et seq., California’s Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 21 (“RFDCPA”), Cal. Civ. Code § 1788 et seq., and the California Code of Civil Procedure, Cal. Civ. 22 Proc. Code § 1280 et seq. (Doc. 1-3.) The action was originally filed in Fresno County Superior 23 Court on November 28, 2022. (Doc. 1-2.)
