16 17 Plaintiff Edward Thomas is proceeding pro se in this civil rights action pursuant to 42 18 U.S.C. § 1983. 19 I. BACKGROUND 20 Defendants Aguirre, Leyva, and Pfeiffer removed this action to this Court from the Kern 21 County Superior Court on March 7, 2024. (Doc. 1.) That same date, Defendants filed a motion 22 asking the Court to screen Plaintiff’s complaint pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915A. (Doc. 3.) 23 II. DISCUSSION 24 Defendants ask the Court to screen Plaintiff’s complaint filed in the Kern County Superior 25 Court on September 13, 2023. (Doc. 3 at 1.)
