14 15 On April 1, 2024, Plaintiff Jose Escobedo (“Plaintiff”) filed his complaint against 16 Defendants Nicole Solano dba Chalio’s Fresno; David C. Yang, Trustee of the David C. Yang and 17 Susie U. Yang AB Living Trust; and Susie U. Yang, Trustee of the David C. Yang and Susie U. 18 Yang AB Living Trust (“Defendants”), alleging claims under the American with Disabilities Act 19 (“ADA”), California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act (“Unruh Act”), and California’s Health and Safety 20 Code. (Doc. 1). These claims stem from alleged barriers Plaintiff encountered (such as excessive 21 slopes and height changes) while he visited a facility owned, operated, or leased by Defendants— 22 Chalio’s Fresno.
