HESLOP, FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS 15 Defendants. 16 17 Plaintiff, a state prisoner, proceeds pro se with claims under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for 18 excessive force, retaliation, and violations of due process and equal protection. Plaintiff also 19 asserts state law claims. Plaintiff’s motion to compel discovery, motion to modify the scheduling 20 order, motion for leave to amend, and request for judicial notice are before the court. (ECF Nos. 21 39, 43, 45, and 50.) For the reasons set forth below, plaintiff’s motion to compel discovery and 22 request for judicial notice are denied. Plaintiff’s motion to modify the scheduling order is granted 23 in part, as set forth below. The undersigned recommends the motion for leave to amend be 24 denied. 25 I.
