14 CHRISTIAN PFEIFFER, 15 Respondent. 16 17 Petitioner, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus 18 pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, together with an application to proceed in forma pauperis. 19 Examination of the in forma pauperis application reveals that petitioner is unable to afford 20 the costs of suit. Accordingly, the application to proceed in forma pauperis is granted. See 28 21 U.S.C. § 1915(a). 22 For the reasons stated herein, this court recommends that this action be dismissed. 23 Petitioner challenges the validity of his August 14, 2013 Sacramento County conviction 24 for carjacking. (ECF No. 1 at 2.) The petition raises two claims for relief.
