17 This matter is before the court on defendant’s motion to compel arbitration. (Doc. No. 12.) On February 2, 2024, the pending motion was taken under submission on the papers pursuant to Local Rule 230(g). (Doc. No. 14.) For the reasons explained below, the court will grant defendant’s motion to compel arbitration. BACKGROUND On October 11, 2023, plaintiff Sarah Bracamontes initiated a discrimination action against her employer defendant United Rentals, Inc. in the San Joaquin County Superior Court. (Doc. Nos. 1 at 1; 1-1 at 2–3.) On November 17, 2023, defendant removed the action to this court pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1441. (Doc. No. 1.) In her operative…
