The parties submitted the required joint statement. ECF No. 71 (duplicate 20 filed at ECF No. 70). The matter was taken under submission and heard on the papers. ECF No. 21 73. Having considered all of the filings and relevant law, the court GRANTS the motion. 22 I. Introduction 23 The Civil Rights Department (“CRD”) is a state agency charged with, among other things, 24 investigating and prosecuting alleged violations of California’s anti-discrimination laws, 25 including the Fair Employment and Housing Act (“FEHA”).
