15 Defendant. 16 17 Plaintiff Candace Smith (“Plaintiff”) proceeds pro se and in forma pauperis in this civil 18 action. (Doc. 1.) For the reasons that follow, the Court will recommend that this action be 19 dismissed for failure to obey a court order and for lack of jurisdiction. 20 I. Background 21 Plaintiff initiated this action on February 14, 2024. (Doc. 1.) On April 8, 2024, the Court 22 screened Plaintiff’s complaint pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915(e)(2), and determined that the 23 complaint failed to comply with the pleading requirements of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 8 24 and failed to allege this Court’s subject matter jurisdiction.
