Weiss, 15 Defendant. 16 17 Plaintiff is a state prisoner proceeding pro se with a civil rights action pursuant to 42 18 U.S.C. § 1983. Plaintiff claims that defendant was deliberately indifferent to her medical needs. 19 (ECF No. 10.) Presently before the court is plaintiff’s first amended complaint (ECF No. 10) for 20 screening. For the reasons set forth below, the court will dismiss the first amended complaint 21 with leave to amend. 22 SCREENING 23 I. Legal Standards 24 The court is required to screen complaints brought by prisoners seeking relief against a 25 governmental entity or an officer or employee of a governmental entity. See 28 U.S.C. § 26 1915A(a).
