INTRODUCTION Toriano Germaine Hudson, a prisoner currently incarcerated at the California State Prison- Solano, filed this pro se petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Mr. Hudson’s petition is now before the Court for review on the merits. For the reasons discussed below, the petition for writ of habeas corpus is DENIED. II. BACKGROUND A. The Crime On January 17, 2014, Lucio Sanchez was driving his pickup truck in the northbound lane of Seventh Street in Richmond when he was struck on the side by an SUV.
