12 Plaintiff, a California inmate incarcerated at Salinas Valley State Prison (“SVSP”), has filed the instant pro se action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, alleging that SVSP correctional officers Vargas, Alvarez and Garcia violated his constitutional rights. Now pending before the Court is defendants’ motion for summary judgment. Dkt. No. 47. Plaintiff has filed an opposition, Dkt. No. 51, and defendants have filed a reply, Dkt. No. 55.
