INTRODUCTION 18 Plaintiff Shaun Marie Ballard appeals the determination of the Social Security 19 Administration that she is no longer eligible for supplemental security income (“SSI”) benefits 20 because she has resources in excess of the regulatory limit of $2,000. Ballard’s motion for 21 summary judgment will be granted and the Commissioner’s cross-motion will be denied. Ballard 22 remains entitled to SSI benefits because her interest in certain real property held in trust cannot be 23 converted to cash without litigation. 24 II.
