INTRODUCTION 16 On August 27, 2019, Petitioner Darren Cornelius Stanley, a condemned prisoner at 17 California’s San Quentin State Prison, filed a Motion to Preserve Evidence of his Activities in the 18 5% Nation of Gods and Earth at San Quentin Prison. Docket No. 316. Specifically, Petitioner 19 seeks an order requiring that administrators at San Quentin permit a hired videographer to enter 20 San Quentin and record Petitioner’s participation in three inmate practice group sessions involving 21 Petitioner’s ostensible religious belief system.
