13 Petitioner Ronald Singh is a citizen of Fiji who was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) on July 6, 2018 and remains in custody at the Mesa Verde ICE Processing Facility (“Mesa Verde”) in Kern County, California. He filed the present action for habeas corpus relief, claiming that he is being detained under circumstances that violate his due process rights under the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241, he seeks an order of release from detention, with appropriate conditions of supervision if necessary. Dkt. No. 1.
