17 18 Plaintiff, a state prisoner at Pelican Bay State Prison (“PBSP”), filed the instant pro 19 se civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against officials and employees of 20 PBSP.1 Plaintiff has filed a motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis which will be 21 addressed in a separate order. 22 23 DISCUSSION 24 A.
