COMPANY, et al., Defendants. 12 Plaintiffs own and operate the restaurants The French Laundry and Bouchon Bistro in Napa County California. They brought this declaratory judgment action in the Napa County Superior Court against their insurers, Hartford Fire Insurance Company and Trumbull Insurance Company, as well as Dr. Karen Relucio as the Napa County Health Officer, seeking a declaration that the County’s March 18, 2020 shelter in place order triggered coverage under Plaintiffs’ insurance policy. Defendant Insurers thereafter removed the action to this Court based on diversity jurisdiction contending that Dr. Relucio was fraudulently joined.
