13 Before the Court is Plaintiff’s motion to strike Defendants’ answer and enter default. Dkt. No. 14 67 (or the “Motion”). Defendants failed to file an opposition to the Motion by the deadline under the 15 Local Rules. 16 Since their attorney withdrew from representing them, Dkt. No. 54, Defendants have failed to 17 engage in the judicial process. Defendants did not submit settlement conference statements by the 18 deadline, resulting in the cancellation of the settlement conference. Dkt. No. 58. After Defendants 19 failed to appear at a case management conference set by this Court, the Court issued an order to show 20 cause why Defendants should not be sanctioned for failing to comply with court deadlines. Dkt. No. 21 63. Defendants submitted no response. …
