12 Before the Court is the above-titled petition for a writ of habeas corpus, filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254 by petitioner Daniel Lee Amburn, challenging the validity of his state court conviction. ECF No. 1. Respondent has filed an answer to the petition, ECF No. 13 (“Answer”), and Petitioner has filed a traverse, ECF No. 14. For the reasons set forth below, the petition is DENIED. I. PROCEDURAL HISTORY In 2017, Petitioner pleaded guilty in Del Norte Superior Court to assault with a deadly weapon (Cal. Pen.
