INTRODUCTION 13 Plaintiff Violeta Grigorescu (“Ms. Grigorescu”) was a former lab technician and adjunct 14 professor at the College of San Mateo and the San Mateo Community College District (“District”). 15 Ms. Grigorescu was involved in an environmental organizing group and litigation against the 16 District that opposed the demolition of a campus garden to construct an additional parking lot 17 (“Friends litigation”).
