12 13 AIG Property Casualty Company (“AIG”) filed a complaint in this Court. (Dkt. No. 1.) 14 AIG contends the Court has subject matter jurisdiction “pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1332(a)(1) 15 because the amount in controversy exceeds the sum of $75,000 exclusive to interest and costs and 16 this action is between citizens of different states.” (Id. ¶ 7.) A federal court’s diversity 17 jurisdiction extends to “all civil actions where the matter in controversy exceeds . . . $75,000 . . . 18 and is between . . . citizens of different States.” 28 U.S.C. § 1332(a)(1). “This statute . . . 19 require[s] complete diversity of citizenship” meaning “each defendant” must be “a citizen of a 20 different State from each plaintiff.” Owen Equip. & Erection Co. v.
