12 13 Plaintiffs Dr. Robert L. Chastain and Chastain Research Group, Inc. bring this action for 14 fraud, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, misrepresentation, and 15 negligence against Susan L. Howard and Harriet Major. Defendants have moved to dismiss 16 plaintiffs’ claims, and Ms. Howard has also moved to strike all claims under California’s Anti- 17 SLAPP law, Cal. Code Civ. Proc. § 425.16. For the reasons that follow, the motions to dismiss are 18 granted with leave to amend and the motion to strike is denied. 19 I.
