12 Before the Court is Plaintiff’s motion to remand and Defendant’s partial motion to dismiss. 13 Dkt. Nos. 18, 19. The Court finds these matters appropriate for disposition without oral argument 14 and the matters are deemed submitted. See Civil L.R. 7-1(b). For the reasons discussed below, 15 the Court DENIES Plaintiff’s motion to remand and GRANTS Defendant’s motion to dismiss.1 16 I. BACKGROUND 17 Plaintiff Alex Castaneda was employed by Defendant Aradgh Glass. Compl. ¶ 10. 18 Plaintiff alleges that Defendant failed to provide him and other similarly situated employees “all 19 overtime and double-time and the proper regular rate of pay,” “uninterrupted, off-duty meal 20 periods,” nor “uninterrupted, on-the-clock rest period[s].” Id. at ¶…
