12 13 Plaintiff Adrian Aldama (“Aldama”) filed this suit against Defendant General Motors LLC 14 (“GM”) in Santa Clara County Superior Court, asserting fives causes of action related to an 15 allegedly defective Chevrolet Bolt. ECF No. 1-1 (“Compl.”). Defendant removed the case to 16 federal district court based on diversity jurisdiction. ECF No. 1 (“Not. of Removal”) ¶ 1. 17 Two motions are before the Court. Plaintiff moves to remand the case to state court, 18 arguing that GM has not shown that the parties are diverse, the amount in controversy exceeds 19 $75,000, or removal was proper.
