12 13 Pending before the Court is a motion to dismiss filed by Defendants Wells Fargo & 14 Company, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Inc. Dkt. No. 19. The 15 Court held a hearing on the motion. See Dkt. Nos. 48, 51. For the reasons described below, the 16 Court GRANTS the motion. 17 I. BACKGROUND 18 On May 23, 2023, Plaintiff Anthony Morris (“Plaintiff”) filed this putative class action 19 against Wells Fargo & Company (“WF & Co.”), Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. (“the Bank”), and Wells 20 Fargo Home Mortgage, Inc. (“the Mortgage Company,” and together, “Defendants”) in San 21 Francisco Superior Court. Dkt. No. 1. On June 30, 2023, Defendants removed the case to federal 22 court, asserting jurisdiction under CAFA. Id. (citing and discussing 28 U.S.C. § 1332(d)). 23 …
