12 This order addresses Plaintiff’s requests for an extension of time to file the supplemental briefing ordered by the Court on July 6, 2023. Dkt. Nos. 61, 62. BACKGROUND Plaintiff commenced this action on or about December 18, 2015, over eight years ago. Dkt. No. 1. The Court found that the complaint stated certain cognizable claims and ordered service. Dkt. No. 9. On August 7, 2017, the Court dismissed the action with prejudice due to Plaintiff’s failure to attend his own deposition pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(b) which provides district courts with the authority to dismiss an action because of a plaintiff’s failure to comply with court orders or to prosecute an action; and entered judgment in favor of Defendants.
