12 13 Now before the Court is defendants’ motion for summary judgment. Dkt. No. 237. This 14 matter came on for hearing on March 8, 2024. For the reasons set forth below, the Court GRANTS 15 IN PART and DENIES IN PART the motion. 16 17 BACKGROUND 18 I. Factual Background 19 Plaintiff Vincent Bell has been a pretrial detainee in the custody of the San Francisco County 20 Jail since 2012. Dkt. No. 48 at 2.
