11 12 The Court held a hearing on March 14, 2024 to determine a claim of exemption, and now 13 issues the following order.1 14 A. Procedural Background 15 Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 69(a)(1) provides that “[a] money judgment is enforced by 16 a writ of execution, unless the court directs otherwise. The procedure on execution – and in 17 proceedings supplementary to and in aid of judgment or execution – must accord with the 18 procedure of the state where the court is located, but a federal statute governs to the extent it 19 applies.” Here, judgment was entered in favor of Plaintiff and against Defendants for 20 $1,495,669.38. ECF No. 275. This Court is in California, so it will apply California procedure 21
